7/ My decalogue...


A few days ago we did a Decalogue in class, but was what we want to have in our decalogue, but then my phone rung, was a job, with children!!! ohh God!,  are they going to say me yes?

And.....

YES!!!!

Now I have this job, doing English during the lunch time. Well it's just 2 hours 30 minuts, but with children in Enlgish...is all that I wanted! Well I start on January, I will hope nothing bad happen.

And then I strarted to think about the my own decalogue with my future pupils and I decided:

I'm going to....
  • negociate rules
  • right duties
  • behaviour for learning rather than management
  • share responsabily
  • cooperation and participation
  • stablish a good climate
  • promoved security, respect and recognition.

And I want to do (sometimes) the activity "Names in a box", when I ask a question in class and some students rise the hands, for not always say the same names, I'm going to take a paper (one name) in this box with names.

6/ Meeting individual needs

Meeting indivual needs, interesting topic!

Few days ago, we did a list, all together about the reading and some clips, with some languages to talk about diferenciated instructions and I want to share with you:


  • nurture, encourage pupils
  • Metacognition
  • Multisensioral activities
  • the peace of the activity
  • readyness (ready to study)
  • usefully activities
  • aknowledged, the way we learn
  • modeling instructions, do an example
  • peers to peers teaching

But..HOW TO DO THAT??

Way of present the material/content, modeling, variety in the pocedures.

Assesment is very important, we can do: rubrics, selfreflection, selfcheck, ect...we have to find wich kind of teacher we want to be.

5/ Do you speak English?


 

If you want to learn English you can use different methodologies. 

I'm going to show you which one I'm using...

You can learn English or more languages.
You share your exercises and correct other.
You learn with pictures, speaking, listening and writing.

2. http://www.shertonenglish.com/
This is only for English.
You have to do exercises, sometimes is boring but you learn English. You have to be constant, because you learn per weeks.

3. Read English blocs and comments when you want.

4. If you can have Erasmus friends and speak in English and write email, text message, whats app in English. You improve your speaking and your writing.

5. Watch series and tv when you can in original version. For example, I'm watching "Cosmopolitan" and I see "How I met your mother" but in Spanish language, I change and I put in English and then subtitles in Spanish.

6. I'm going to an English school doing advance level, but now it's so boring..maybe I change the school, now I'm going to "Winter school".

4/ Classroom management!



Today at class we talked about "Classroom Management", and this topic is really interesting, because if you don't organise your class you don't have nothing.

We did a list with some words about what we think classroom management is, and this is our list, I say our, because we did in a group of five.

My list in order of preferences:

  • organisation (classroom panning)
  • visual resources (walls)
  • lay out (distribution)
  • keeping the students attention
  • Students roles
  • interaction
  • Personal connection
  • rules

We have to improve our compensation reading, and I read a compulsory reading, "Rethinking classroom management".

I put this part of the reading because, is very easy understand the meaning of this reading. We have to connect these three issues: organisation, curriculum and social. They can't work alone, if we want a success teaching and learning process.

We have to change the classroom management, how? innovating!!

We know that our students learn more if they teach to other, and why we don't do that!!!??

3/ I don't know how to express my feelings in English...

I don't know how to express my feelings in English...

And I'm writing these lines only to try understanding me.

I want to watch English movies, serials, etc.. in original version, Maybe I have to leave again, United states maybe is a good place to learn English. Today my mind is like a madness.

I have to reorganise my live, do a timetable and then maybe start my new objectives.

My objective is express my feelings in English like in Spanish...Can I achieve?

A few months ago, I went to England, Birmingham, That I said in other post. But today I feel like no me, because ...now I'm going to explain.

I do English at the uni, and then I'm going to a School language, doing Advance level and the other day I went to speak with the boss of this school, because I know that I'm in my level, I did an exam to know my level, but I don't know why but I want more and more, I want more knowledge, I'm learning English by Internet, using different web sites, but I feel that this is not enough, I think when I went to England I spent 6 months and I learned English but not enough, neither.
